Swim and Dive Wildcats Win Big at the North Texas TISCA Invitational

The Swim and Dive Wildcats had a great weekend participating at the North Texas TISCA Invitational. The girls team placed 3rd and the boys team placed 1st. On Thursday, Justin Bunker got 2nd place in the 1 meter dive. On Friday, in the swim prelims, the wildcats broke 7 school records and 3 meet records. On Saturday, at finals, the wildcats broke 11 school records and 5 meet records. Our B Relay of Olivia Cook, Kenzie Stewart, Anna Weinheimer, and Alexis Ginalick placed 12th in the Medley Relay. Our A Relay of Ella Glass, Paige Pala, Amy Pala, and Morgan Farlow placed 1st in the 200 medley relay, which was a school record. Our B Relay of John Paul Reid Duran, Bodhi Dewitt, Anthony Aguilar, and Max King placed 14th in the 200 Medley Relay. Our A Relay of Will McWard, Joey Kerkman, Grayden Barker and Carter Ranc won the 200 Medley Relay, which was a school record and meet record. Morgan Farlow won the 200 Freestyle, which was a school record and a new meet record. Grayden Barker won the 200 Freestyle, which was a new school record and meet record. Anna Weinheimer placed 10th in the 200 IM. Carter Ranc placed 4th in the 200 IM. Ella Glass placed 2nd in the 50 Free and Paige Pala placed 10th. Will McWard tied for 1st in the 50 Free. Amy Pala placed 6th in the 100 fly. Grayden Barker placed 1st in the 100 fly breaking the school record and the meet record. Will McWard placed 4th in the 100 fly. Morgan Farlow won the 100 Free, which was a school record and a meet record. Nathaniel Wasbun placed 4th in the 500 Free. Anna Weinheimer, Alexis Ginalick, Kenzie Stewart and Taylor Owens placed 6th in the 200 Free Relay. Jake Bakian, Max King, Anthony Aguilar, and Nathaniel Washburn together placed 9th on the 200 Free Relay. Ella Glass placed 2nd in the 100 Back. Carter Ranc placed 3rd in the 100 Backstroke, which was a school record. We had 3 wildcats in the final heat of the girls 100 breaststroke; Paige Pala placed 4th, Mackenzie Stewart placed 5th and Anna Weinheimer placed 6th. In the boys 100 breaststroke. Joey Kerkman placed 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke and broke the school record. The relay team of Ella Glass, Morgan Farlow, Paige Pala and Amy Pala placed 4th in the 400 Freestyle relay. The B Relay of Bodhi Dewitt, Nathaniel Washburn, Bo Feng and Jake Bakian placed 10th in the 400 yard free relay and the A Relay of Grayden Barker, WIll McWard, Carter Ranc and Joey Kerkman won the event with a school record and a meet record and they were less than a second off the pool record.
